Reliance Animation Academy’s Master Program in VFX Filmmaking is a comprehensive 30-month program designed to develop advanced skills in visual effects, animation, and digital filmmaking. The course takes students through different stages of the VFX production pipeline, from design and pre-production to 2D and 3D animation, compositing, and special effects.
The curriculum covers a broad range of creative and technical skills, including visual hierarchy, colour theory, typography, digital illustration, photo manipulation, digital matte painting, asset texturing, concept art, script breakdown, and storyboarding. Students also explore 2D and 3D animation principles, character rigging, audio-video synchronisation, kinetic typography, special effects, and compositing. The program is designed to provide practical exposure to professional VFX workflows and help students understand how different elements come together to create polished visual sequences.
Students receive hands-on training with industry-relevant software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Premiere Pro, Maya, Unreal Engine, 3D Equalizer, V-Ray, RealFlow 3D, RayFire, After Effects, Nuke, and Houdini. With a 30-month course duration, the program provides an extensive learning path for students interested in building careers in visual effects and digital filmmaking.
